Compact Science

PBS Digital Series

Project Overview

The deepest creative execution in the portfolio — a full motion graphics package built from the ground up for a PBS digital science series aimed at middle-school audiences. Logos, lower thirds, info cards, segment openers, and full-screen animations, all designed to make complex science topics clear and visually compelling without losing energy.

Every element was built in After Effects and delivered through Premiere Pro for broadcast. The package spanned dozens of episodes, requiring a design system flexible enough to handle different topics each week while maintaining a consistent visual identity.

What I Built

The full deliverable set included: animated logo builds with multiple treatment variations, lower thirds for on-screen talent and topic labels, full-screen info cards for data visualization, segment transition animations, and the Shark Girl comic-style opener — a distinctive segment identity that required both illustration direction and motion execution.

The breadth of this package — from brand identity through motion system to episodic collateral — represents the most complete example of my end-to-end production workflow.
